Bio

Jaden Bleier is an emerging multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Her current creative practice focuses on print, photo, text, and textile-based works, and she employs bookmaking, assemblage, and installation (among other practices) as methods of combining the visual and literary themes of the everyday. Her poetic manuscript atmospheres was a recipient of the Frances Mason Harris ‘26 Prize. Jaden’s poetry has additionally appeared in the Oakland Review, Stonecoast, In Parentheses, and Maudlin House and has been awarded Gold and Silver Keys by Scholastic Art and Writing. Jaden's visual pieces have been displayed in several galleries and institutions in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The consideration of time is deeply ingrained in her expansive practice, and she often finds inspiration in shifting bodies of water, trees, and skies. Lately her work has been exploring the more personal and interpersonal spheres of dreams, memories, and relationships.

Jaden recently co-founded the group abc pvd – Art Book Collective, Providence. She received her BA from Brown University and currently works for the Visual Art Department as a Teaching Assistant for various Print and Photo courses. She also works part-time for Rag & Bone Bindery. In her spare time, she sits in the sun with her sweet cat Cora and remains chronically less hydrated than her houseplants.
